Arsenal now reportedly want to sign the ‘best centre-back in the world’ to replace Rob Holding

Arsenal are reportedly looking for a new center-back to replace Rob Holding this summer, and Napoli star Kim Min-jae has emerged as a target.

The Gunners have had an outstanding Premier League season. Yes, they came up short in the title race, but what this young team has accomplished this season is nothing short of remarkable.

Mikel Arteta and company, on the other hand, will require reinforcements. The priority is midfield, but they could use a new man in the heart of defence as well, especially if Rob Holding leaves. Kim Min-Jae is an excellent choice.

Kim Min-jae, an Arsenal target, is the “best center-back in the world.”

This week, 90min reported that Arsenal is among the clubs aware of Kim’s situation at Napoli.

The South Korean has had an incredible season at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, and he is one of the main reasons Napoli won the Serie A title.

His performances have now piqued the interest of many European clubs, and he is expected to be available for a fee of between £35 million and £52 million in the first two weeks of July.

In today’s market for top clubs, that is very affordable, especially if the player in question is among the best in the world. Kim is rated highly by Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti.

According to talkSPORT, he stated in March of this year, “Kim does at least 20 incredible things per game.” He is, in my opinion, the best center-back in the world.

“When he starts running, he can get into the opposing penalty area in under five seconds.”

Rob Holding is one of Arsenal’s longest-serving players, but his time at the club could be coming to an end during the summer transfer window.

When he first joined the Gunners in 2016, the Englishman displayed incredible potential, and his performances against some of the league’s toughest players, such as Diego Costa, were outstanding.

However, Holding hasn’t looked the same since suffering a serious knee injury that kept him out of action for over eight months in 2018-19, and he has received harsh criticism for some of his performances this season.

Journalist Dean Jones said earlier this week that Holding is in ‘danger’ of being sold this summer, and we wouldn’t be surprised if he is.
