Kasese to the World: Kasese Based Tourism Company Accredited by the International Trade Council


As Destination Kasese strategizes to maximize the tourism potential through partnership and international presence, business leaders are working to improve on the value of the businesses to serve the international market.

Musingika Tourism Company Limited, a Kasese based tourism company working as an environmentally friendly tour operator focused on responsible tourism in Uganda has been accredited by the International Trade Council and UN Global Compact.

Musingika Tourism Company Limited is combating climate change by creating travel experiences that focus on conserving the country’s natural heritage and biodiversity while supporting indigenous communities and improving the lives of local Uganda people through Community Based Tourism (CBT).

The International Trade Council is a peak-body chamber of commerce dedicated to promoting international trade, minimizing barriers, and fostering global commerce through education, networking, and insightful business intelligence.

With the Council mission to help members navigate the intricate world of international trade by simplifying processes and providing essential resources, it has locally organized chapters operating in 28 countries and a diverse membership spanning 179 nations, making it a truly global organization.

Early this year, Musingika Tourism Company Limited was granted membership with the United Nations Global Compact which is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative with an ambition to accelerate and scale the global collective impact of business by upholding the Ten Principles and delivering the SDGs through accountable companies and ecosystems that enable change.

As part of green efforts to support sustainable tourism, Musingika Tourism Company Limited provides a lot of educational tourism experiences through guided nature walks, wildlife viewing trips, and community-based tourism initiatives and provide travelers with a deeper connection to the natural world and a greater appreciation for the role that they can play in promoting sustainability.
