During weekdays, we all yearn for the Weekend and looks like its every Ugandans dream to make it to the weekend. Funny!

Here we are and the weekend is before us.

The happy times that come with the weekend are some of the reasons Ugandans yearn for it. But what happens when you have no clue on how to spend your weekend? It is WASTED.

There are a number of events happening in Kasese this weekend, like Bar Nights, Runs, Music shows, and more. We’ve got the full roundup of major Kasese activities here.

  1. The Rotary Cancer Run

The 12th annual Rotary Cancer Run returns this Sunday 27th August 2023 and just like it happens countrywide, Kasese is participating in the run.

The Cancer Run aims at raising money for the construction of 2 cancer bunkers and treatment machines at Nsambya Hospital in Kampala.

In Kasese, the event will be held at Boma Grounds (Kasese Municipal Council Offices) and runners will take part in 5-, 10- and 21-Kilometer runs. The event kicks off at exactly 7:00am.

Registration fee is at UGX 30,000 and comes with a vest.

  1. Live Band Music at Savanna Gardens

This Saturday night, Savanna Gardens will echo with the sounds of the magical Swift Band as they perform live Congolese music with a punch of Uganda’s local music starting as early as 7:00pm till late.

Experience the epic showcase of talent at UGX 3,000 only.

Savanna Gardens runs a fully stocked bar (Hard and Soft Drinks), Nyama choma, Car Wash plus an Ample and secure parking space.

No need to worry about where to sleep, Tropical Savanna Hotel got you covered as you indulge in a memorable ultimate comfort.

  1. Acoustic Live Band Music at Gator’s Paradise

As a norm, Sunday evenings are made with the Live Acoustic music featuring super talented Johny G and Momo.

Taste and discover the local and international cuisines straight from the Kitchen to the Poolside dining area with a view of the Guitar shaped swimming pool.

The acoustic session is free and open to the public. Interestingly, the audience is allowed to take control by requesting for or performing their favorite songs.
